Saturday Highlights

What a wonderful day it's been. Gabe had a soccer game this morning. Maybe the first one this year without rain. After that I had some appointments at the church. I made it home around the early evening to grab some dinner and do some work outside...I am clearing some brush, taking down a fence, putting up new posts, and painting the fence. I love working outside, especially in the spring and fall.

Just a few highlights today:
  • I was in fellowship with Greg and Tonya G. today and wow does Tonya have an awesome encounter testimony. God saved her, delivered her, and has filled her with the power of the Holy Ghost over a span of two encounters. She is a fireball for Christ! I really appreciate Greg and Tonya, and Franchesca(I hope I spelled that right!) and Victor. God has great things ahead of them!
  • I was able to speak with Arlene Miller today. Please keep her in your prayers. She has been losing weight (muscle mass) at an alarming rate. She would like for us also to prayer for her eyesight. She is planning on being with us next Saturday evening as well as Sunday morning at the Missions Conference.
  • Annette said the ladies had an awesome time at prayer tonight at 6 pm. All ladies are welcome to join them every Saturday night. It will get you ready for Sunday worship like nothing else can. Men you are welcome to join us for prayer every other saturday at 9 am. We will be praying this coming Saturday.
  • Ken and Karen B. and the boys were able to visit with the New Life Church in Terre Haute (Pastor Tim and Sheryl Minks) last weekend. Ken and Karen got together with quite a few couples that attend our encounters and went to church there Sunday AM. Ken said the highlight of the week was attending their cell leadership training classes Sunday night. He and Karen were asked to share about beginning and leading cells as well as give witness to what they have seen God do in their cell ministries.
  • One final highlight on a more worldy note..."What about those Reds and Jay Bruce!" Wow is he something or what! He seems to be pretty humble and down to earth. I guess he has a sister, Kellan, who has a mild mental handicap. No doubt it has helped him keep his enormous talent and success in proper perspective so far.

Well I have said enough! I leave you with this great prayer from the Apostle Paul. It is my prayer for you today and tomorrow. May God bless you!

Ephesians 3:14 May the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
