Hello Everyone,
This morning's service was awesome! The Mother's Day letters came from the heart and were tearjerkers. Debbie, Karen, and Lori, you did a super job! The ladies choir was great. The praise & worship was powerful...the presence of God was so real. It's been beautiful to see so many people recently "on their own" coming forward to the front of the sanctuary to worship. I appreciated so much your response to the message and the altar service. It was really a great service!
Be sure to check out the "Upcoming Events" tab. We have some great things coming up at Kings Point! I am excited about our Singles Night coming up this Saturday! God has been raising up a large, crazy group of singles in our church. The women had around sixty singles at their recent spring encounter. As a church, we want to become more sensitive to the needs of our singles. They are a great resource too, full of enthusiasm and energy to work for the Lord!
I am really excited too about the missions emphasis that we are seeing at Kings Point. We have ten going to El Salvador in August. This is a great response especially with such short notice. Chris and Carmen McBeath are doing a super job coordinating this trip along with the upcoming Missions Conference. Also, my neice, Venessa Ballard, will be sharing on May 25th about her upcoming mission's trip to Africa. She will be going for two months this time. She has a "big heart" for missions work and you will be blessed by her love for missions and my brother will be preaching that Sunday morning as well. I want to encourage you to buy "buddy cards" from the youth and adults that are selling them. The youth are trying to raise funds to go to Baton Rouge (the 220 Youth Conference) and some are selling them to fund their trip to El Salvador.
Gabe, Annette, and I had Mother's Day lunch today at Gabe's mom's favorite place to eat...most of you know where! I called my mom and wished her happy Mother's Day. Annette spent the day Friday with her mother. She absolutely loves spending time with her mom. Her mother is a special lady!
Well, that's enough! Have a great week!
