Missions Conference to be "Unforgetable Weekend"

Our upcoming missions conference is shaping up to be an "unforgetable" weekend! The church sanctuary as early as this week will be decorated with beautiful missions banners. You have already given generously to Vanessa Ballard this past weekend to assist her in a missions trip to Thialand and monies are coming in to send ten of our people in August to El Salvador.

As your pastor, I just cannot thank you enough for your missions support. During the upcoming Missions conference, we will be giving you several different opportunities to give to some exciting missions projects. Here's what will be happening during the mission's conference.

On Friday evening, June 6, we will focus on missions in Southern Ohio. Scott Skeens, the Evangelism Director of Southern Ohio will be preaching and challenging us to preach the gospel to our Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria...the tri-state area and the state of Ohio. We will also be presenting a colorful parade of ministries with over 40 costumes from different countries along with musical selections from the choir and the children's drama ministry.

On Saturday evening, June 7, we will kick the evening off with a dinner featuring various entry dishes from different countries. Afterwards, a Global Church Planting Challenge will be presented on DVD by Global12, a network of churches and pastors working together to plant churches all over the world. In the last 7 years over 18,000 churches have been planted! We will be giving every individual, family, cell group, Sunday School class and ministry in KP an opportunity to plant a church this year. Also, on this night, an offering will be received to help assist those going to El Salvador in August. Please be praying with us for this great night of planting seeds for the kingdom to advance.

Sunday, June 8th, Sister Arlene Miller will be preaching and we will be asking everyone to prayerfully consider giving something to support our missionary. Sister Miller is one of the greatest Missionaries in Church of God World Missions and we are honored to have her as our Missionary. After church, we are encouraging everyone to go to Wendy's in Maineville who will be giving 15 per cent of all of their proceeds toward our El Salvador missions trip.

I sincerely believe this is more than a Missions Conference. I see God taking our church right now to a new level in ministry and in missions. I envision seeds being planted in the next few weeks that will bring forth an harvest for years to come and not just around the world but in our local church as well.

In Christ's Love,

Pastor Randy
