Once or twice a week I like to use the blog to share some personal stuff as well as update you on some matters regarding the ministries at Kings Point.
- I hope you are enjoying the website. We are trying to build a community with our new site. Please visit us often staying current on special events, reading my daily blog messages, and checking out a message on the sermon download page from time to time. Also, you can pass it on to your friends and family members.
- Annette, Gabe, and I are meeting ourselves coming and going this week. Gabe started Driver's School this week right in the middle of his busiest week of spring soccer (4 games this week). Annette of course is working while getting with her mother this week to celebrate Mother's day. My week has been a typical one for me...hospital visitation, some office work, lots of phone calls, Gabe's taxi service, prayer & study, and working with our summer intern, Adam Johnson. Adam is a fine young man who will make a fine pastor some day.
- We had a very nice cell meeting this morning a Bob Evans restaurant. The guys in our Wednesday morning cell work second shift and cannot attend the other men evening cells. I love these guys and appreciate them...Jeff Garner, Doug Taulbee, Danny Flinders, and Stan Stoddard.
- We received nearly $2,000 Sunday in giving toward the repair of the church windows. Hopefully, all the money we need will come in over the next few weeks. Thank you so much for your generous giving.
- Our Missions Conference is coming up quickly. Carmen McBeath shared with me that we are needing items from other countries for the conference. Please bring them to the church with your items properly labeled with your name on them so we can get them back to you. Carmen also was excited to share that we have at least ten Kings Point people going to El Salvador in August. Please be in prayer that everyone can raise their funds needed by the middle of June.
- This Sunday we will have a great Mother's Day celebration. I will be sharing a message entitled "Recipe for a Great Mom." Also, we will be reading three of the best "Dear Mom" letters that we have received, our all ladies choir will be singing, all moms will receive a gift from the church, and finally we will be recognizing some special moms in our congregation.
- If you're single, please join us for our Singles Night Out on Saturday, May 17th. They will be serving mexican, doing praise and worship, and having lots of fun!
Well, I guess that's enough for right now! Until next time!
- Pastor Randy
