I Love Tuesdays!

My Tuesday started this morning with doing some devotions and then some work on the computer before getting dressed and heading to the office. I had to meet with Sonya (our Treasurer) over some financial matters followed by our weekly church staff meeting. In attendance at our staff meeting today was Debbie Jett, Children's Minister; Corina Bowers, Office Manager; Sonya Money, Treasurer; Brian Griffin, Minister of Music, Adam Johnson, Ministerial Intern, and myself.

We always do our sharing of laughing and having a good time at staff meetings. The church has blessed me with a wonderful group of people who really have the best interests of the church at heart. But even more importantly, they love God and know how to pray. We always have a wonderful time of prayer during our staff meetings. We pray for the needs of the church family, one another, and ministries of the church. We then go over the agenda for the coming week and the week that follows. JUST IN CASE YOU WANTED TO KNOW!

It has been really nice having Brother Adam Johnson with us serving as a summer intern. Adam is getting ready to go into his senior at Lee University. Adam is a sharp young man who is sincere about his calling to preach the gospel. It's refreshing to see young people like Adam and his sincerity toward the ministry. Adam too, is hungry and eager to learn and grow both as a person and as a minister of the gospel. I think Adam will be a great blessing to the church this summer and I am sure KP will bless him and give him some great learning opportunities this summer...he ought to have lots of stories to tell when he goes back to Lee in the fall! You've done great so far Tim and Teresa!

Today God opened a door for me to minister to someone that I have been praying for for years. I want encourage you that are praying for unbelievers to keep it up. God is hearing your prayers and He will soon open a door for you to plant a seed. Be ready!

I am putting the following scripture to memory this week. I encourage you to memorize and meditate on God's word. It keeps your spirit and mind sharp!

Isa 40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength.
Isa 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Have a great Wednesday!
