Friday Countdown

Greetings everyone! I hope you have survived the week. I know for some of you its been a tough one and a long one. If you don't mine, let's say this prayer for strength and overcoming burdens and stress together.

"Jesus, I come to You right now, for I labor and am heavy laden and overburdened, and You cause me to rest — You will ease and relieve and refresh my soul.

I take Your yoke upon me, and I learn of You; for You are gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and I will find rest — relief, ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet — for my soul. For Your yoke is wholesome (easy) — not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant; and Your burden is light and easy to be borne.

I cast my burden on You, Lord, [releasing the weight of it] and You will sustain me; I thank You that You will never allow me, the [consistently] righteous, to be moved —made to slip, fall, or fail. Amen."

If you said that prayer today, I know the Lord by His Spirit will minister to you strength, rest, and comfort.

I hope you plan on joining us this Sunday. This is the first Sunday in quiet a few weeks where there is not a special emphasis. I am looking forward to sharing God's Word with you in both the AM and PM service. We will be partaking in the Lord's table Sunday evening. Take time Saturday to get your heart ready. We will have men's prayer at 9 am Saturday in the sanctuary and the women have prayer at 6 pm. Please come ready to worship Sunday!

May God bless you! Make it a great weekend of worship, rest, and spending time with your family!
