Updates from the General Assembly in San Antonio

For you out there that are interested in knowing what is happening in the Church of God at the General Assembly, here is your new Executive Committee as nominated by the General Council this morning:

General Overseer, Raymond Culpepper
First Assistant, Tim Hill
Second Assistant, Mark Williams
Third Assistant, David Griffis
Secretary-Treasurer, Wallace Sibley

And we were able to get the Youth & C.E. Dept Directors nominated as well. They are Tom Madden, Director, and Gary Lewis, Assistant Director. Of course, it is very hot here. One of the first guys I ran into this morning was Rob Mason. He looks like he is doing well.

This afternoon the Evangelism and Home Mission Directors were nominated. They are Jimmy Smith, Director, and Larry Timmerman, Assistant Director. The World Mission's new Director is Douglass LeRoy. The Assistant Director is Victor Pagan.

Tonight, we nominated six Council of Eighteen before breaking until tomorrow.

Everyone nominated today will be submitted for election by the General Assembly (made up of all the ministers and laity of the Church of God) Friday. After the General Council elects the Council of Eighteen, we will be able to begin working on the agenda items.

Tonight, I had dinner with Woodrow Alley and his son, Tim. Tim pastors in Elwood, Indiana, and of course, Woodrow is an Evangelist. Brother Woodrow usually comes and preaches a Sunday AM & PM every February.

See everyone Wednesday!

-Pastor Randy
