Special Thanks!

This is really the only few moments I have today to write something. Rob did a beautiful job today at Joy Kilburn's funeral. I am very proud of Rob and Susanne. They continue to do a wonderful job at Loveland. These are difficult days to be a pastor, especially a bi-vocational pastor of a small church. But Rob, Suzanne, Alexi, and Gracey are called and gifted servants who love people.

As pastors, it is high honor and privilege to have the opportunity to minister to people after they have lost a loved one. A lot of people often feel awkward because they don't know what to say to those who have lost a loved one. But I have always found that its not so much what you say, but just being there for people is what really counts. And for the Christian, just letting the love of God flow out of you is what really needs to happen more than anything else.

Please remember the Kilburn family in your prayers and also the Jerry Mitchell family. Jerry's funeral service is on Wednesday. I want to thank everyone who has prayed, sent cards, prepared food, and came to the church and funeral home to pay your respects. You are truly a very loving and caring people!
