I haven't done this in awhile...countdown to Sunday. Today, of course, is Friday. How's your week been? I know some of you are ready for the week to come to an end. You're looking forward to a welcome break I'm sure and no doubt you need it.
Times are tough for people everywhere these days, especially for the people of God. The enemy is trying God's people like never before. He knows God's plan to rescue (or rapture) up his people...remember he knows what the bible says, better than most churchgoers. He's taking his best shots at the people of God now knowing that we won't be around much longer. You would think he would be content knowing he's going to reek havoc on the whole world after God's people are gone. But remember he absolutely hates the people of God. Look at what he did to the Jews during the holacost. Look at the persecution of God's people (Christians) down through history. Again, he knows he has little time left. The time of "Jacob's trouble" (also known as the Tribulation period) will go by quickly for him. Jesus comes and sets up his kingdom here on earth and he is thrown into hell for nearly a thousand years. Thats not my opinion, thats what the Bible says.
So lets remember the big picture. Don't be so much in love with this world that as you see things fall a part it grieves you. Don't try to prevent it from happening. God's will will be fulfilled. Look up, your redemption draws nigh. In others words, keep your mind on those things above. On those things God has planned for you. You belong to him. You are his child...a citizen of heaven. He put His Spirit in you to carry you through these times. Hold on to Christ. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. We are overcomers as we move, live, and have our being in Christ Jesus.
Come Sunday desperate to worship your God. I promise He will meet you there and do some great in you!
