Friday Countdown...Wounded Men

This is Men's Encounter weekend. I am really excited for the men that are coming. I sincerely believe God is going to meet them there. Many are coming desperate for a divine personal visitation. I have no doubt they will experience that and more. Please join me in prayer for the men's encounter.

Recently, I have really been burdened for men in general. I see it on Sunday mornings when I look into men's' faces. Men are wounded and hurting right now. The losses of jobs, incomes, and retirement savings, has taken a toll on men today. Men like to fix things when they are broken. Right now there are a lot of things in men's lives that they cannot fix. Men are frustrated, angry, and isolating themselves. That's what many men do when they are wounded. They isolate. They don't want someone feeling sorry for them. They would rather internalize it.

Jesus says to men today, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matt 11:28-30 [KJV]

The answer for men is Jesus. Only He can fix lives. I encourage you look to Him. Give it to Him. Seek after Him. Its not too late to come to the encounter. Call our church office today, tell us you want to come to the encounter and we will make it happen. See ya Sunday!
