Well, I am so sorry I haven't bloged for a month. Since the hacker got into my email about a month ago I have not been able to blog. But I finally figured it out, SO WE ARE BACK! Praise the Lord!
What a great day today and what a great weekend for the women at their encounter. At the celebration service today, we heard some powerful life-changing testimonies. Women that were delivered and set free this weekend. Women that were healed and filled with the Holy Spirit.
This morning's service at KP was good. Special thanks to Gary and Steve Todesco who did a wonderful job in leading us in worship. My message this morning was a first in a two-part series on "Gideon: Quality not Quantity." I really believe its a great word for believers and the church as a whole today. If you weren't there, give it a listen on the sermons page. It should be up by tomorrow night.

Florida preacher's anti-Islam actions leave some Pentecostals cold

Pentecostalism:vA Christian movement that started with a storefront revival on Azusa Street in Los Angeles in 1906, it has spread rapidly around the globe. Once regarded by many Christians as a marginal and almost embarrassing style of faith in which converts are "slain in the spirit" and followers speak in tongues or perform miracle healings, Pentecostalism has become mainstream.
A 2006 survey estimated that one in four Christians in the world is Pentecostal.

Like the tiny Florida church that shook the world last week with its pastor's threat to burn copies of the Quran, Central Church of God calls itself Pentecostal.
And like that 50-member Dove World Outreach Center, which put up signs equating Islam with the devil, this 6,000-member megachurch in south Charlotte is not bashful about cursing Satan or about praising Jesus with tears of emotion.
But, on Sunday, interviews with Pastor Loran Livingston and members of his flock turned up zero support for waging war against Islam by burning its holy book.
While insisting that belief in Jesus is the one true path to God, they said they are called as Christians to win converts by showing love, not make enemies by spreading hate.
"The church's business is to tell all people - Jews, Muslims everybody - that Christ loves them and God will save them," said Livingston, one of Charlotte's star preachers, who inherited a congregation of just 22 people when he became pastor in 1977. "I don't think Jesus meant for us to be divisive and militant."
Livingston said he was embarrassed that combative Pastor Terry Jones - the mustachioed man in the news who finally backed down from his plan to torch 200 Qurans - held himself up as a Pentecostal.
The fast-growing brand of Christianity takes its name from the feast of Pentecost, when Jesus' apostles received the Holy Spirit and were empowered to speak in foreign languages. In today's Pentecostal churches, many adherents speak in tongues or perform healings.
"We could get so much more done for the Lord if we would do it his way," Livingston said. "He told (apostle) Peter, 'Put your sword away. If you live by the sword, you'll die by the sword.' We're supposed to be peacemakers. We're supposed to love everybody... It doesn't matter what they've done to us or might do in the future. We're to love them."
During his Sunday sermon to a packed sanctuary and overflow satellite buildings, Livingston made it clear that he and members of his interracial congregation differ from other, non-Christian religions. That includes Islam, which honors Jesus as a great prophet but worships only Allah - the Arabic name for God - as divine.
"There is only one true God - the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - whose son is Jesus," he told his flock, many of whom lifted their hands heavenward and shouted their approval. "In these days, (many) pick a god and put a name on it. No, his name is Jesus."
But in the next breath, Livingston said that same Jesus "teaches us to be kind, teaches us to be peacemakers... The Bible says we are to make peace with all men."
After the service, worshipers on the way to their cars expressed the same themes - Jesus is the only true way, but showing disrespect to people of other faiths is the wrong way to express that.
"There are better ways to get your message out than going to extremes and burning a document that many base their lives on and consider sacred," said Bogdan Pomerlyan, 26, a software developer. "Although I believe strongly in what we (Christians) believe... what (Jones) was doing was pushing people farther away, not trying to get them closer."
Romanian-born Peter Oprea, an entrepreneur who lives in Marvin, said Jones was just looking for media attention when he should have considered how his threat would feel if it were reversed, and a Muslim imam were threatening to burn Christianity's sacred book.
"I wouldn't feel comfortable if I heard my Bible would be burned," said Oprea, 40. "I respect a holy document even though it's not my own."
Constantin Nasui, 56, of Harrisburg, agreed, saying the better way to counter Islam - "a false religion," he said - was to pray for Muslims.
Jesus, Nasui said, "is love, kindness, compassion."
And he's the truth and the only way to God, added Leah Ponds, 30, a nanny who lives in Charlotte.
"When you have the truth - Jesus Christ is the truth - then it's not necessary to do anything that would stir up something in other people," she said.
Putting up signs that say Islam is evil turns people off and builds walls, she added. Instead, said Ponds, who will leave soon for a mission trip in some predominantly Muslim countries, Christians should try to share their belief in Jesus - and let God take it from there.
"I want to talk to (Muslims) and just lift up Christ," she said. "Because Christ will draw people unto himself."
A little blunter in her views Sunday was Tricia Pope, 39, of Denver, who was making her first visit to Central Church of God in a decade.
She agreed with Florida pastor Jones that Islam is of the devil - "anything that is not of Jesus is of the devil" - and said a battle between Christianity and Islam was prophesied in the Bible.
Still, she agreed that burning Qurans is a wrongheaded idea, and not the way to bring more people to Jesus.
In fact, Pope, a stay-at-home mom of two children, said she's worried that Jones and his tiny Pentecostal church in Gainesville, Fla., may have turned people off to the Christian message.
Said Pope: "I just pray that people will not judge Jesus based on what he is doing."

Solemn Assembly and This Weekend...
Good morning everyone! I think its Wednesday today. The week is dragging by but flying by...if you know what I mean. My "beautiful one" has been gone this week but is due back tonight. PTL! Sunday Wrap Up
Sorry this is so late. Our website was unexpectantly down for awhile but Corina resurrected it this morning. Thanks, Corina! Great Services yesterday! Gary Amburgy did a wonderful job sharing a powerful message Sunday morning. Wow, there are so many things the Lord said to us in the service through the message and the Holy Spirit through tongues and interpretation. The evening service was a great time as well. Sherman and Sadell Bradley ministed in song and in the Word. Again, a very powerful message by Sadell. I love what she said, "the church is called not to COME AND SEE, but to GO AND BE. Right on!

When Bibles are Burned...
As you may know, the Pastor in Florida who is threatening to burn the Koran or Korans has been in the news quite a bit recently. I have heard Christians say that when bibles are burned, or our flag is burned, or even Christian missionaries are martyred, we never hear much about those things in the media. Maybe the following Spurgeon devotional helps explain that.
"Lead me, O Lord, in Thy righteousness because of mine enemies."

Very bitter is the enmity of the world against the people of Christ. Men will forgive a thousand faults in others, but they will magnify the most trivial offence in the followers of Jesus. Instead of vainly regretting this, let us turn it to account, and since so many are watching for our halting, let this be a special motive for walking very carefully before God. If we live carelessly, the lynx-eyed world will soon see it, and with its hundred tongues, it will spread the story, exaggerated and emblazoned by the zeal of slander. They will shout triumphantly. "Aha! So would we have it! See how these Christians act! They are hypocrites to a man." Thus will much damage be done to the cause of Christ, and much insult offered to His name. The cross of Christ is in itself an offence to the world; let us take heed that we add no offence of our own. It is "to the Jews a stumblingblock": let us mind that we put no stumblingblocks where there are enough already. September's Awake America Emphasis
We will continue with our "Awake America" Sept. emphasis tonight. We begin at 7.00 pm. I hope you can join us. Saturday there will be a service at the courthouse at 12 noon. Different churches will be participating. Please try to come out and lets have a good showing from KP.
We have three big Sundays coming up. This Sunday (Sept 12th), Bro. Gary Amburgy will be continuing our "Awake America" theme as he will preach a message on the topic "America in Prophecy." September 19th is Friend Day featuring a martial arts ministry from Marion, Indiana. We will resume our monthly youth service that Sunday evening with special guests, Pat and Jan Wright, Ohio's new State Development and Ministry Director. September 26th is Homecoming/Old Fashion Day. Our senior choir and senior quartet will be ministering in the morning worship service. A dinner and fall picnic will follow out at Arley and Marsha Jett's home.

Balances

Weights, and scales, and measures were to be all according to the standard of justice. Surely no Christian man will need to be reminded of this in his business, for if righteousness were banished from all the world beside, it should find a shelter in believing hearts. There are, however, other balances which weigh moral and spiritual things, and these often need examining. We will call in the officer to-night.
The balances in which we weigh our own and other men's characters, are they quite accurate? Do we not turn our own ounces of goodness into pounds, and other persons' bushels of excellence into pecks? See to weights and measures here, Christian. The scales in which we measure our trials and troubles, are they according to standard? Paul, who had more to suffer than we have, called his afflictions light, and yet we often consider ours to be heavy--surely something must be amiss with the weights! We must see to this matter, lest we get reported to the court above for unjust dealing. Those weights with which we measure our doctrinal belief, are they quite fair? The doctrines of grace should have the same weight with us as the precepts of the word, no more and no less; but it is to be feared that with many one scale or the other is unfairly weighted. It is a grand matter to give just measure in truth. Christian, be careful here. Those measures in which we estimate our obligations and responsibilities look rather small. When a rich man gives no more to the cause of God than the poor contribute, is that a just ephah and a just hin? When ministers are half starved, is that honest dealing? When the poor are despised, while ungodly rich men are held in admiration, is that a just balance? Reader, we might lengthen the list, but we prefer to leave it as your evening's work to find out and destroy all unrighteous balances, weights, and measures.

Sunday Wrap Up
Wow, what a service today! The presence of God was so thick in the house today. We as a church truly cried out on behalf of our nation today. I believe that God heard our prayers and received our own personal repentance. I preached myself pretty hoarse this morning. But it was worth it! We had a lot of regular attenders gone but not bad crowd for Labor Day weekend. PLEASE TRY TO JOIN US WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR ANOTHER 'AWAKE AMERICA' SERVICE. COME EXPECTING FOR GOD TO MEET WITH US!

Who is Allah? Where did he come from?
If Allah is not merely Jehovah repackaged under a new name, then who is he? Who is this Allah to whom nearly a fifth of the world's population bows down and gives reverence? The answer is somewhat surprising to those unfamiliar with the pre-Islamic history of the Arabian peninsula and the Middle East.
Belief in Allah was widespread across the Arabian peninsula prior to the rise of Mohammed. However, the Allah worshipped in those days was not the monotheistic Allah who Muslims know today. Rather, Allah was just one of many gods, most often considered to be the highest or supreme god among many in a henotheistic system that developed in Arabia over the centuries prior to Islam.
“The name Allah, as the Quran itself is witness, was well known in pre-Islamic Arabia. Indeed, both it and its feminine form, Allat, are found not infrequently among the theophorous names in inscriptions from North Arabia.” 24
“Allah was known to the pre-Islamic Arabs; he was one of the Meccan deities.” 25
Watt states concerning the pre-Islamic Arabian religious situation,
“In recent years I have become increasingly convinced that for an adequate understanding of the career of Muhammad and that of Islam great importance must be attached to the existence in Mecca of belief in Allah as a ‘high god’. In a sense this is a form of paganism, but it is so different from paganism as commonly understood that it deserves separate treatment.” 26
However, when remarking that Allah was viewed as a "high god" in Arabia, this must not be understood to mean that he was the only god worshipped by the pre-Islamic Arabs. Watt elsewhere states,
"The use of the phrase “the Lord of this House” makes it likely that those Meccans who believed in Allah as a high god – and they may have been numerous – regarded the Ka’ba as his shrine, even though there were images of other gods in it. There are stories in the Sira of pagan Meccans praying to Allah while standing beside the image of Hubal."
Zwemer tells us,
“But history establishes beyond the shadow of a doubt that even the pagan Arabs, before Mohammed’s time, knew their chief god by the name of Allah and even, in a sense, proclaimed his unity. In pre-Islamic literature, Christian or pagan, ilah is used for any god and Al-ilah (contracted to Allah), i.e. the god, was the name of the Supreme. Among the pagan Arabs this term denoted the chief god of their pantheon, the Kaaba, with its three hundred and sixty idols.” 28
While it is typical to think of "Allah" as a name, it originally was not. In fact, the term "Allah" was a title, a contraction of Arabic words meaning "the god", indicating the general sense in which "Allah" was used prior to the rise of Islam. MacDonald states about al-ilah, which appeared frequently in pre-Islamic poetry,
"By frequency of usage, al-ilah was contracted to allah, frequently attested to in pre-Islamic poetry (where this name cannot in every case have been substituted for another), and then became a proper name (ism 'alam).”
This is corroborated by Peters,
"The cult of the deity termed simply ‘the god’ (al-ilah) was known throughout Syria and Northern Arabia in the days before Islam -- Muhammed’s father was named ‘Abd Allah’ (Servant of Allah) -- and was obviously of central importance in Mecca, where the building called the Ka’bah was indisputably his house. Indeed, the Muslims’ ‘shahada’ attests to precisely that point: the Quraysh, the paramount tribe of Mecca, were being called on by Muhammed to repudiate the existence of all the other gods save this one. It seems equally certain that Allah was not merely a god in Mecca but was widely regarded as the ‘high god’, the chief and head of the Meccan pantheon, whether this was the result, as has been argued, of a natural progression toward henotheism, or of the growing influence of Jews and Christians in the Arabian peninsula....Thus Allah was neither an unknown nor unimportant deity to the Quraysh when Mohammed began preaching his worship at Mecca.”
Indeed, the fact that Allah was at one time a single god among many in the pagan Arabian pantheon is accepted by orthodox Islam, which refers to the pre-Islamic period as the Jahiliya, the "times of ignorance". However, Islam's traditional teaching about the times of ignorance differs from the facts established by investigation into the history and archaeology of the ancient Near East. Islam recognizes that these other gods were at one time worshipped alongside Allah (termed shirk, or associationism). However, Islamic dogma also holds that Allah is the same God who appears in the Bible, in other words, the original monotheistic being with whom mankind later associated false gods out of ignorance and rebellion. Yet, as will be shown below, there does not seem to have ever been a time when Allah (al-ilah) was conceived of as purely monotheistic prior to the rise of Islam, and further, al-ilah, as a title, was at various times applied to false gods whose origins are found in the earliest civilizations of Mesopotamia, and from whom the path to the current Arabian conception of Allah can be traced.
The Ka'bah, known as beit allah, the "house of Allah", is believed to have been a center of pagan worship in the Hijaz region of Arabia for centuries prior to the appearance of Islam. Scholars recognize that it has served as a house of idolatrous worship for its entire traceable history. Gilchrist writes,
“There is no corroborative evidence whatsoever for the Qu’ran’s claim that the Ka’aba was initially a house of monotheistic worship. Instead there certainly is evidence as far back as history can trace the origins and worship of the Ka’aba that it was thoroughly pagan and idolatrous in content and emphasis.”
Van Ess further states,
"In pre-Islamic days, called the Days of Ignorance, the religious background of the Arabs was pagan, and basically animistic. Through wells, trees, stones, caves, springs, and other natural objects man could make contact with the deity. The heavenly bodies, so familiar to pastoral people, were revered; the moon, the shepherd's friend, was worshiped, though the sun, the Bedouin's terror, was placated. Indeed, there were many "al-ilahs" existing throughout the Semitic world, down to the time of Islam's development. When the Arab Empire extended its control, first over Syria and Palestine, and later over Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the whole of the Arabian peninsula, it became necessary to fold the various religious beliefs among its new subjects into the bosom of the developing religion of Islam. For the pagan Arabian tribes, this included the assimilation of their various high gods with the "al-ilah" which had been established as the monotheistic god of Islam. Speaking of the various Arabian tribes, Wellhausen originally noted,
“At first Allah was the title used within each individual tribe to address its tribal deity instead of its proper name. All said 'Allah', but each one had its own deity in mind. The expression 'the god' (al-ilah), which became the only usage, became the bridge to the concept of an identical god which all tribes had in common."
While it is unlikely that Mohammed actually existed, at least in the role to which Islam assigned him in later centuries, there is a strong case to be made for the assimilation of the many pagan "al-ilahs" into Islam that is ascribed to Mohammed by these above. This Allah was the key which the early Muslims used to bring the pagan Arabians firmly into the fold. They introduced to these tribes a monotheistic version of the god al-ilah that they had already been worshipping for centuries, as the title for various gods differing by locality. As Nöldeke notes,
“In the Nabataean inscriptions we repeatedly find the name of a deity accompanied by the title Alaha, 'the god'. Hence, Wellhausen argues that the Arabs of a later age may also have applied the epithet Allah, 'the god', to a number of different deities, and that in this manner Allah, from being a mere appendage to the name of a great god, may gradually have become the proper name of the Supreme God. In any case it is an extremely important fact that Mohammed did not find it necessary to introduce an altogether novel deity, but contented himself with ridding the heathen Allah of his companions, subjecting him to a kind of dogmatic purification and defining him in a somewhat clearer manner.”
Allah became the bridge for the Muslims to link all the Arabian tribes together under their new religion, Islam. Allah was a generic expression for the idols of Arabia, used by each tribe for its own particular high god, and these became amalgamated into the al-ilah of the state-sponsored religious system of the new Arab Empire.
Where did the "al-ilahs" of the tribes come from, and what were the deities to which these titles referred? What sort of gods were these deities? To begin to trace the development of the deity now known as Allah, we must look to Mesopotamia.
Belief in Allah was widespread across the Arabian peninsula prior to the rise of Mohammed. However, the Allah worshipped in those days was not the monotheistic Allah who Muslims know today. Rather, Allah was just one of many gods, most often considered to be the highest or supreme god among many in a henotheistic system that developed in Arabia over the centuries prior to Islam.
“The name Allah, as the Quran itself is witness, was well known in pre-Islamic Arabia. Indeed, both it and its feminine form, Allat, are found not infrequently among the theophorous names in inscriptions from North Arabia.” 24
“Allah was known to the pre-Islamic Arabs; he was one of the Meccan deities.” 25
Watt states concerning the pre-Islamic Arabian religious situation,
“In recent years I have become increasingly convinced that for an adequate understanding of the career of Muhammad and that of Islam great importance must be attached to the existence in Mecca of belief in Allah as a ‘high god’. In a sense this is a form of paganism, but it is so different from paganism as commonly understood that it deserves separate treatment.” 26
However, when remarking that Allah was viewed as a "high god" in Arabia, this must not be understood to mean that he was the only god worshipped by the pre-Islamic Arabs. Watt elsewhere states,
"The use of the phrase “the Lord of this House” makes it likely that those Meccans who believed in Allah as a high god – and they may have been numerous – regarded the Ka’ba as his shrine, even though there were images of other gods in it. There are stories in the Sira of pagan Meccans praying to Allah while standing beside the image of Hubal."
Zwemer tells us,
“But history establishes beyond the shadow of a doubt that even the pagan Arabs, before Mohammed’s time, knew their chief god by the name of Allah and even, in a sense, proclaimed his unity. In pre-Islamic literature, Christian or pagan, ilah is used for any god and Al-ilah (contracted to Allah), i.e. the god, was the name of the Supreme. Among the pagan Arabs this term denoted the chief god of their pantheon, the Kaaba, with its three hundred and sixty idols.” 28
While it is typical to think of "Allah" as a name, it originally was not. In fact, the term "Allah" was a title, a contraction of Arabic words meaning "the god", indicating the general sense in which "Allah" was used prior to the rise of Islam. MacDonald states about al-ilah, which appeared frequently in pre-Islamic poetry,
"By frequency of usage, al-ilah was contracted to allah, frequently attested to in pre-Islamic poetry (where this name cannot in every case have been substituted for another), and then became a proper name (ism 'alam).”
This is corroborated by Peters,
"The cult of the deity termed simply ‘the god’ (al-ilah) was known throughout Syria and Northern Arabia in the days before Islam -- Muhammed’s father was named ‘Abd Allah’ (Servant of Allah) -- and was obviously of central importance in Mecca, where the building called the Ka’bah was indisputably his house. Indeed, the Muslims’ ‘shahada’ attests to precisely that point: the Quraysh, the paramount tribe of Mecca, were being called on by Muhammed to repudiate the existence of all the other gods save this one. A God of Love Versus a God of Hate
This is the beginning of a series to help believers understand the differences between Christianity and Islam.
God, as revealed in the Bible, is a God of love who cares for and desires the best for His creations. He is merciful, full of grace and compassion, and seeks to restore a humanity alienated from him by sin. "For God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) We are told in the Bible that God does not desire the damnation of any soul, but wants all to come to Him through Christ for forgiveness of their sins and reception of eternal life. It is God "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." (I Timothy 2:4). God, in his great mercy towards mankind, has provided to mankind an Advocate before His heavenly throne, Jesus Christ, who intercedes on behalf of the Christian before the Father, and who shed His blood to free lost and sinful men and women from the wrath of God against sin. "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." (I John 2:1-2) These verses illustrate the position and activity of Christ as both Savior and Advocate. He is the propitiation for our sins, meaning that the shedding of His sinless blood in sacrifice for us satisfied the demands of God's wrath against sin, and that this act of grace was performed for the whole world, for every man, woman, and child who has lived and ever will live. Likewise, He is the Advocate, the one who stands before the throne of the Father and pleads His own righteousness on behalf of those who have trusted in Him as Savior, if we sin.
This contrasts with the quranic Allah, who hates sinners and has made no provision for their reconciliation to him. "..and Allah loveth not those that do wrong." (Surah 3:140) - "Contend not on behalf of such as betray their own souls; for Allah loveth not one given to perfidy and sin." (Surah 4:107) - "Those who reject Faith and do wrong,- Allah will not forgive them nor guide them to any way- Except the way of Hell, to dwell therein for ever. And this to Allah is easy." (Surah 4:168-169) - "....And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah's purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious." (Surah 5:49) - "The Unbelievers will be addressed: "Greater was the aversion of Allah to you than (is) your aversion to yourselves, seeing that ye were called to the Faith and ye used to refuse." (Surah 40:10) As presented in the Qur'an, Allah is a vindictive deity who desires to afflict sinners, not save them. This understanding of Allah seems to be the orthodox Islamic position. Note the passage below:
"This is the covenant which you make with Allah as soon as you recite La ilaha illallah, and in doing so you make the whole world your witness. If you violate this covenant, your hand and feet, the minutest hair on your body and every particle of the earth and of the heaven before which you made that false declaration, will render evidence against you in the court of Allah where you will be in the dock in such a helpless condition that not a single defence witness will be available to you. No Advocate or Barrister will be there to plead your case...." 9
As demonstrated here, breaking the covenant made with Allah, which is the covenant to live and abide by Islamic law and practice, will result in being hauled before the court of Allah completely defenseless, with no hope of ever being either redeemed from your sin or of being saved from the wrath of Allah. Of course, the way in which this covenant is broken is by apostatizing from Islam, not by committing some other gross or negligent personal sin. Indeed, the main thrust of the quranic verses mentioned above seems to be the condemnation of those who "betray their own soul" and who were "called to the faith" and refused, essentially choosing to reject Islam.
Further, the Qur'an contains a great deal about the types of people who Allah hates, usually understood to be those who have rejected Islam, or who will not convert to it:
Transgressors (2:190)
Ungrateful and wicked creatures (2:276)
Those who reject faith (3:32; 30:45)
Those who do wrong (3:57, 140; 42:40)
The arrogant, the vainglorious (4:36; 16:23; 31:18; 57:23)
One given to perfidy and crime (4:107)
Those who do mischief (5:64; 28:77)
Those given to excess (5:87)
Wasters (6:141; 7:31)
Those who trespass beyond bounds (7:55)
Treacherous (8:58)
Ungrateful (22:38)
Those who exult in riches (28:76)
This does not reconcile with the God of the Bible who, while hating sin and the performance of sin, also loves sinners and seeks to turn them from their wicked ways. "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) This passage illustrates to us God's amazing love, His willingness to send His Son Jesus Christ to die in our place, to take the wrath against sin upon ourselves, even though we are all sinners. Further, God's attitude toward the damnation and punishment of sinners is shown in Ezekiel 18:23, "Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways and live?" While Allah may hate all who are not righteous and even seek their damnation, God loves them and has made abundant provision for them to receive forgiveness and eternal life. Truly, human beings go to hell in spite of the undeserved grace that God seeks to give to them.
The reason for this difference in the perception of God between Christians and Muslims has to do with the perception of love. The former believe in a God who loved them enough to send His Son to die for them even while they were still sinners, the latter believe Allah hates any who do not conform to his demands. As noted earlier, love is a necessary part of a reconciled relationship. Yet, Islam rejects love from being an attribute of Allah's character. Self-sacrificial love is considered to be weakness in the Islamic mindset, and to say that God loves is tantamount to saying that God is weak and vulnerable. Youssef, himself a former Muslim, describes the mindset this way,
"The concept of love as one of God's attributes is conspicuously missing from Islam because in Islamic thought love is a sign of weakness. Far be it from Allah, the all-powerful, to be weak. To love is to be vulnerable, and far be it from Allah to be vulnerable. But love also produces genuine confidence and hope and teaches the beloved to love freely and generously in return. Islam has no concept of the strength of love or of the characteristic qualities of love as desirable. The Koran gives no knowledge of the perfect love of God in Jesus Christ, which casts out fear and which is strong enough to overcome death and inaugurate eternal life. Muslims cannot rest in the promise of a faithful God who assures that nothing will separate them from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
"In Islam, God and man are wary of each other, in contrast to Christianity, in which God and man are in love with each other. This difference is of great importance because it lies at the heart of the tensions Muslims feel toward Christians. The same relationship that exists between God and humans in each of the two religions exists by extension between the humans. Christians are taught to love their neighbors as they have first experienced Christ's love. Muslims are taught - many exhortations to charity notwithstanding - to judge, condemn, and even eliminate their neighbors if they fail to measure up to a certain standard of faith and practice, because that is how they expect Allah to deal with them."10
Contrast this view of the lack of love in God's character with that expressed by God in the Bible,
"And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations." (Ezekiel 6:9)
The sin of God's people may lead to chastisement, but He does not seek their destruction. Instead, their sin breaks His heart (talk about vulnerability!), and He desires for them to return to Him. He does not want to destroy them, He wants to restore them as they repent of their sins against Him.
The lack of assuring knowledge of God's love for them is much of the reason why the spirit of Islam is so harsh and hateful towards those who are not submitted to its system. Because Allah does not love self-sacrificially - and he certainly does not love those who are not Muslims - neither does the orthodox, fundamentalist Muslim trying to live by the letter of the Qur'an. The Muslim cannot claim that Allah loves him or her. He or she has no true hope or assurance of salvation from all the efforts made in this life. The Muslim is instead left hanging in limbo, never quite knowing if he or she has "done enough" to please Allah at the Last Day. As Youssef further tells us about this,
"The harshness of Islam is the direct result of its uncertainty about salvation and eternity. Not only are people what they worship, but they become what they fear. The Muslim's fear of Allah's judgment and condemnation turns outward into the same kind of action toward others. Grace and forgiveness are rare attributes of God or man in Islam, which proves a common saying that 'Islam is as arid as the deserts of its birth.'"11
As Youssef rightly perceives, we become what we worship.

While Allah may hate all who are not righteous and even seek their damnation, God loves them and has made abundant provision for them to receive forgiveness and eternal life. Truly, human beings go to hell in spite of the undeserved grace that God seeks to give to them.
The reason for this difference in the perception of God between Christians and Muslims has to do with the perception of love. The former believe in a God who loved them enough to send His Son to die for them even while they were still sinners, the latter believe Allah hates any who do not conform to his demands. As noted earlier, love is a necessary part of a reconciled relationship. Yet, Islam rejects love from being an attribute of Allah's character. Self-sacrificial love is considered to be weakness in the Islamic mindset, and to say that God loves is tantamount to saying that God is weak and vulnerable. Youssef, himself a former Muslim, describes the mindset this way,
"The concept of love as one of God's attributes is conspicuously missing from Islam because in Islamic thought love is a sign of weakness. Far be it from Allah, the all-powerful, to be weak. To love is to be vulnerable, and far be it from Allah to be vulnerable. But love also produces genuine confidence and hope and teaches the beloved to love freely and generously in return. Islam has no concept of the strength of love or of the characteristic qualities of love as desirable. The Koran gives no knowledge of the perfect love of God in Jesus Christ, which casts out fear and which is strong enough to overcome death and inaugurate eternal life. Muslims cannot rest in the promise of a faithful God who assures that nothing will separate them from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
"In Islam, God and man are wary of each other, in contrast to Christianity, in which God and man are in love with each other. This difference is of great importance because it lies at the heart of the tensions Muslims feel toward Christians. The same relationship that exists between God and humans in each of the two religions exists by extension between the humans. Christians are taught to love their neighbors as they have first experienced Christ's love. Muslims are taught - many exhortations to charity notwithstanding - to judge, condemn, and even eliminate their neighbors if they fail to measure up to a certain standard of faith and practice, because that is how they expect Allah to deal with them."10
Contrast this view of the lack of love in God's character with that expressed by God in the Bible,
"And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations." (Ezekiel 6:9)
The sin of God's people may lead to chastisement, but He does not seek their destruction. Instead, their sin breaks His heart (talk about vulnerability!), and He desires for them to return to Him. He does not want to destroy them, He wants to restore them as they repent of their sins against Him.
The lack of assuring knowledge of God's love for them is much of the reason why the spirit of Islam is so harsh and hateful towards those who are not submitted to its system. Because Allah does not love self-sacrificially - and he certainly does not love those who are not Muslims - neither does the orthodox, fundamentalist Muslim trying to live by the letter of the Qur'an. The Muslim cannot claim that Allah loves him or her. He or she has no true hope or assurance of salvation from all the efforts made in this life. The Muslim is instead left hanging in limbo, never quite knowing if he or she has "done enough" to please Allah at the Last Day. As Youssef further tells us about this,
"The harshness of Islam is the direct result of its uncertainty about salvation and eternity. Not only are people what they worship, but they become what they fear. The Muslim's fear of Allah's judgment and condemnation turns outward into the same kind of action toward others. Grace and forgiveness are rare attributes of God or man in Islam, which proves a common saying that 'Islam is as arid as the deserts of its birth.'"11
As Youssef rightly perceives, we become what we worship.

The Pros and Cons of Facebook
I don't spend a lot of time on FB. Maybe ten minutes a month, if that. Some people may spend hours a day on there and those folks really need to get a life. Here are some pros and cons regarding FB as I see it. First the positives.
1)FB is a great way of catching up with old friends.
2)Occasionally I am inspired and blessed by what I read on FB.
3)FB is a great way of checking in with family and staying up with their lives.
The negatives:
1) Lots of idle chatter and gossip. [Guilty...I've done it, please forgive me Lord! Help me to make better use of my time and my words.]2) Some use it for complaining and whining. [Guilty...I hate it when I do it and when I have to hear it from others.]3) Some people like to share their dirty laundry with every one in the world...and they actually think people want to hear it. [Not guilty here... Annette and Gabe wash mine. I tried once and I broke the washer. So they won't let me do it anymore].
4) Some use FB to impress others with their knowledge or their spirituality. [Probably guilty here too...even though my knowledge is not to impressive anymore. The older I get, the less I know and it seems like the greater my awareness is of "what a wretched man that I am." Sorry, folks, just being transparent!]
In summary, I really do believe most people use it in moderation as a form of entertainment. But like in anything, it can be abused and misused. My prayer is that I "walk in the Spirit" and use whatever I do to to bring Him glory...AND SPEND MORE TIME WITH MY FACE BURIED IN "THE BOOK."

Sunday Wrap Up
Hello everyone! I kept up the blog called "Tribute to our Sweet Amy" a little longer than usual. I wanted to give people time to see it and read it. I hope you will remember Jeff and Amy's dad, mom, brother, and little Tammy in your prayers.
Yesterday, was a wonderful day at the house of God. The morning service was powerfully awesome. I enjoyed so much sharing about what we dream about at KP. If you didn't get a chance to be in the service itself, I think the message is up under "sermons" on our site here. The message really explains who we are and what we are about. I hope you will even share it with others. I know its pretty passionate, but I like to think we are passionate about the work of Christ.
Last night, we conducted our annual business session. Every year, I always leave impressed with how KP maturely and professionally does the business of the church. I so appreciate everyone who comes and participates with the love and gentleness of Christ. Big thanks to Hillary and the youth staff and Christy for ministering to our youth and children during the business session. Congrats to Greg Garnica, Jon Dayton, and Mark Hughes: the newly elected KP Council members. Also, congrats to Tonya Garnica and Peggy Schuler, the newly elected Christian Education board members.
Everyone, keep Peggy Schuler in your prayers as well as our missionary, Arlene Miller. Also, our State Bishop's wife, Kathy Isaacs is undergoing treatments today at Mt Zion Cancer Treatment Center in Illinois. Please call out these precious sisters in prayer today in faith.

Tribute to our "Sweet Amy"
Today will be a hard day for KP. We say so long for a while to our "sweet" Amy Brumfield. Who doesn't think of Amy without that warm, kind smile and the sweet spirit that we have come to know as Amy.
Amy grew up at Kings Point beginning as a teenager. She was one of our KP girls. Her, Michelle, and April(and others too many to name) hung out together, played together, worshipped together, ministered together, and no doubt made it a little trouble together. As someone shared with me last night, they were always together...until another youth group member, Jeff Brumfield, entered the picture. Amy and Jeff started dating and were married on April 29, 1995 at 6.30 pm. Amy and Jeff, though young, were in love and ready to begin a life together.
Jeff and Amy continued to stay active in the church through their twenties and into their thirties. They both sang in the choir, sang vocal solos, sang in cantatas, and special choir events. I said Sunday that of all the great soloists at KP in my thirteen years...none sang under a greater anointing than Amy. Amy was gifted with a meek spirit and a powerful voice that often would stir up a visitation of the Spirit of God that touched the entire church body. It was a beautiful sight!
Amy taught children's classes in Sunday School and completed several of our discipleship and leadership courses at KP. Amy was an excellent Sunday School teacher who was very dedicated to her class. Students loved Amy. I would often hear different ones talk about how much they liked her as a teacher. After graduating from School of Discovery a few years ago, Amy's vision was to begin a women's cell in her neighborhood in Franklin that would reach unsaved women. She discussed this with me quite often and did not give up on her vision even through her health battles.
As most of us know, Jeff and Amy never had children. It was both of their hearts desire but for some reason it never happened. Jeff told me yesterday, that a brother in the church called him recently and shared that God must have needed a sweet, beautiful woman in heaven to help hold and care for all of the motherless babies up there. That may be the case. Nonetheless, today it will be hard to let her go. Yes, we know her sweet spirit ascended Friday evening to be with the Lord. But the beautiful spirit and person that was Kings Point's "Sweet Amy" will be missed greatly.

Sunday Wrap Up
It's Sunday night and what a fun and exciting day of worship we had! I really mean that. Before I mention this morning's special service, tonight was great! We didn't have a big crowd but the people that were there was hungry for the word. I guess thats what really stands out about the people that come Sunday night - they are hungry for God's Word. You say "I'm hungry for the Word and I don't come on Sunday night"...my answer to you is if you were, you would be there. But tonight's service was super...you had to be there to understand why.
This morning the Lord really ministered to His church. We had a lot of numb, grieving people at the beginning of the service. But the Holy Spirit gently comforted and strengthened God's people this morning. We prayed for the Brumfield family and I know the Lord heard our prayers. I appreciate everyone who volunteered to bring food and to serve the church dinner following the funeral. Sister Hazel is so faithful and does such a wonderful job. I am glad that she will be able to sit back and be with her family.
Please keep Jeff and the family in your prayers this week and the days that follow. Our prayers will be what carries them through this difficult time.

The Sunday Countdown
Wow, I don't think I have ever been so forgetful about doing this blog. Maybe Ken was right about the song. But if there really is something to this thing about turning fifty and not being able to remember...I think its because I have way too much on mind. God help all of us old folks!
Its Friday and praise the Lord! Its been a great week but a long one. Anytime I have to go out of town and spend a night or two in a motel room for a meeting it makes for a long week. I would rather be at home.
We had some wonderful leadership meetings this wee regarding the OneOhio project. I think eventually Southern reuniting with Northern will be a great thing for the state as well as the local churches. Our new Bishop (Bishop Isaacs) is a gifted administrator along with his wife, Kathy. Also, Pat and Jan Wright, the new State Youth and C.E. Directors (even though their title will be changed soon), are very sharp and rich with ministry experience. I think you will really like both couples and sense about them a love for the work of God. Please keep them in your prayers.
Sunday will be here before you know it! I hope you plan to join us for our annual church picnic this Sunday. We will eat, play some games (family vs family) and then will conclude with our annual cornhole tournament. We usually don't go home until about 5 pm, do there will be no evening service at KP.

Tuesday's Sunday Wrap Up?
I know, I am a few days late on Sunday's Wrap Up. I had a crazy Sunday evening and Monday. I've been going 100 miles an hour it seems like since Sunday. Its been crazy!
Sunday was a great day in the Lord! The youth day service was great. God is doing a great work in our youth ministry. About a year ago, parents of our youth begin to pray and fast for our youth ministry. God has really guided and helped us. I cannot say enough about how Corina and her team has done a great job smoothly handing it off to Hillary, Alan, and their team. The students have responded wonderfully. They have attended youth events, revivals, and youth cells. Those in the youth band have put untold hours in practicing and you saw the product Sunday. What a great little worship band they have put together - made up of all students. And of course, a special thanks to all of you parents for praying and supporting the youth ministry.
Sunday night was another great service. God is moving and doing some awesome things in our Sunday nights. People are testifying of healings in our Sunday PM services.
Please remember Peggy Schuler in your prayers. We are believing for a miraculous healing. Also remember our State Bishop's wife, Kathy Isaacs, as she battles cancer. Her and Bishop Isaacs will be heading over to Mount Zion, Illinois, tomorrow for treatments. God is faithful to His Word!

Nepali Indian Encounter Recap
This is a recap of the encounter that was held for the Nepali Indian pastors and their wives in Chattanooga last weekend. The recap was written by Pastor John who oversees the churches throughout the U.S. of the Nepali Indians.
The Lord has done this and it is marvelous in our eyes (Mark 12:11 NIV)
We have no words to describe what we experienced last week end. About eighty Nepali pastors and leaders from across the US were there for 2 days. It was an amazing deliverance and empowerment ministry. The vision impartation was powerful. Many were also filled with the power of God. Krissna from TX is so excited that she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Many testified to the inner healing and deliverance they received. Their faces were beaming with joy. On Friday night for the closing session the sanctuary became a dancing floor. People were rejoicing and dancing. (Men and women were in separate auditoriums so that they will have more freedom to express themselves). Kamal - a youth leader form Atlanta- told me , "I could never dance. Moving steps rhythmically was impossible for me. But Friday night - I think it was because of the special anointing in that place - I was dancing crazy and I was dancing pretty well. Our worship leader Suresh and others also shared the same experience." Poonam a young lady from Atlanta commented, “Uncle it was awesome. I am so blessed”. Sarita Tamag told me, “ The ladies felt kind of sorry for their husband thinking that the men missed the powerful ministry they were receiving on the ladies side. But when they came together for lunch they found out that the men were even more exited and blessed. And it was kind of funny. ”.
I get emails and phone calls from pastors and leaders saying how richly the Lord blessed them and how thankful they are to the Lord and the people the Lord used to minister. We had 350 Nepali believers in the sanctuary for the celebration session on Saturday. It was a historic event. The vision came forth powerfully with clarity. I was crying out, “Lord help me to save these souls heading towards eternal hell.” When I looked around I could see all most everyone in the auditorium with both hands lifted up toward heaven with tears running down their cheeks crying out the same prayer. It was a powerful move of the Spirit. I got the affirmation in my spirit that the sincere cry of the people are well received in the heaven and the answer is on the way. Yes all the 65,000 are going hear and many are going to believe and many many Churches are going to be established to meet the needs of this people group. This people group is going to be the most blessed people group to come to the US as refugees.
Pastors Terry and Kaye Harris, Rick and Beverly Zachary , other pastors and all the ministry team members were such an anointed group of people whom the Lord used powerfully to minister to the needs of the people. Their Christ likeness -humility, servant hood, passion, hospitality, compassion and love – were all well noticed and is being talked about in the Nepali community. One Pastor from TX told me,” I had tears in my eyes when I saw the team members from the Crossing Church cleaning the mess we left behind as we rushed to the session from the dining hall.” What a powerful witnessing!
We are so grateful. We thank them all from the bottom of hearts for everything! We thank all the people who provided help in many ways. We know many people across the nation prayed – many set apart time to fast and pray- for the conference. May God richly bless them and reward them for everything they did.
We left Chattanooga with the conviction that this is just the beginning of what the Lord is about to do. We are all together in this. Please continue to pray for this ministry Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, be glory honor and praise !

A Robbery in our Church!
If we don't tithe, we rob God. Yet every Sunday when the offering plate is passed, we witness one of the most serious robberies in our cities. Our newspapers don't carry the story and no one files a complaint at the police station. Yet we rob God, because "the tithe is the Lord's (Lev. 27:30). We give God what is His when we tithe.
Tithing is an Act of Love. We measure our love to Christ by the obedience of giving our tithe, "He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me" (John 14:21). But our love goes beyond Christ. It extends to our church and our pastor. Paul asks for those in Corinth to prove their love to Him. "Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also (the grace of giving). Tithing Recognizes God's Ownership of Our Lives. The tithe is described in the Bible as the firstfruits, meaning, a tither gives to God the firstfruits to be harvested. The book of Proverbs commands "Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase" (3:9). If we put God first in our lives, He will honor us (Matt. 6:33). We can tell others that we belong to God, but our deceitful heart can lead us astray (Jer. 17:9). However, we demonstrate our dedication when we tithe. We give Him the firstfruits because He is first in our lives.
Tithing is Good Business. When you tithe for the right reasons, you have gone into business with God. When you invest one-tenth of your income with God, He promises "to open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it (Mal. 3:10). God will not be any man's debtor, He will keep His promise.

But those who will weekly deposit their tithe in God's bank reveal their faith in God to take care of all their needs.
Tithing Helps the Church Carry Out the Great Commission. The church is commanded to go into all the world and preach to every person, baptizing the converts and teaching the commands of Christ. This requires money to print tracts, purchase radio and TV time, erect buildings, provide salaries for God's servants and carry out the countless other expenses associated with the ministry. A tithing church can pay its bills and expand its outreach. A tithing church will not have to beg for money and plan gimmicks to raise its budget. A church of tithers will have willing workers, "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also" (Matt. 6:21), because a church of tithers will have the hearts of its people to carry out the Great Commission.

Are You Calling God A Liar?
Okay, some KP thoughts today. This week is our youth revival beginning Thursday evening. Our youth have put together a worship band made up of some talented kids. God has really blessed our church with some young people who love the Lord and are seeking His face. Hillary, Alan, and the rest of the youth staff are doing a wonderful job. Parents and the church in general need to get behind them and pray for them. Sunday night many of the people committed to pray and fast this week for the revival. Pray that God pour out His Spirit in these four special services this week including Sunday's special youth day service. Pray that young people be radically changed.
Have you ever wondered why some Christians do not tithe and give in offerings? I think the most used excuse that people give is that they cannot afford to tithe. When I hear this, my response is always "If you believe the scriptures, how can you not afford to tithe?" Read what God says about it...
Malachi 3:10-12 "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this," says the Lord of hosts, "if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. "Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes," says the Lord of hosts. NASU
Did you read it? How can you not hold God at His word? That's what he tells us to do when he says "test me (or prove me)." He says He will open up the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then he says He will rebuke the devourer from destroying or taking from your income. The fruits of your ground and your vine is your income. Now again, does God lie? When you don't take him at His word and tithe you are saying that God is a liar. You are saying I don't believe you will do those things so I am not going to give my tithe and offerings to you. Wow..did you realize that's what you are doing?
I can tell you by experience that God is not a liar. He will do what He says if you bring your tithe and offerings to His storehouse. This year, Annette and I more than ever as put God to the test. I have tried to give recklessly this year. Its been fun to watch God bless us as we have obeyed Him.
Come on Christian, there is no excuse for you not to tithe. Take God at His Word and watch Him stimulate your personal economy.

"Oh, If I Could Only Go Back..."
This is great word for someone today. It maybe you. Read it and receive.
Job 29:2 "Oh That I Were in Months Past..."
Numbers of Christians can view the past with pleasure, but regard the present with dissatisfaction; they look back upon the days which they have passed in communing with the Lord as being the sweetest and the best they have ever known, but as to the present, it is clad in a sable garb of gloom and dreariness. Once they lived near to Jesus, but now they feel that they have wandered from Him, and they say, "O that I were as in months past!" They complain that they have lost their evidences, or that they have not present peace of mind, or that they have no enjoyment in the means of grace, or that conscience is not so tender, or that they have not so much zeal for God's glory. The causes of this mournful state of things are manifold. It may arise through a comparative neglect of prayer, for a neglected closet is the beginning of all spiritual decline. Or it may be the result of idolatry. The heart has been occupied with something else, more than with God; the affections have been set on the things of earth, instead of the things of heaven. A jealous God will not be content with a divided heart; He must be loved first and best. He will withdraw the sunshine of His presence from a cold, wandering heart. Or the cause may be found in self-confidence and self-righteousness. Pride is busy in the heart, and self is exalted instead of lying low at the foot of the cross. Christian, if you are not now as you "were in months past," do not rest satisfied with wishing for a return of former happiness, but go at once to seek your Master, and tell Him your sad state. Ask His grace and strength to help you to walk more closely with Him; humble yourself before Him, and He will lift you up, and give you yet again to enjoy the light of His countenance. Do not sit down to sigh and lament; while the beloved Physician lives there is hope, nay there is a certainty of recovery for the worst cases.

Sunday Wrap Up
Two awesome services today! This morning was great baptizing the children. And what a great offering for VBS, $1600. Super job Hillary and Natalie. You girls are the best! Debbie, Lori, Corina, and everyone did a great job leading this year's VBS. Of course, Joyce Dayton did a wonderful job as director. KP is blessed to have so many great leaders.
Great service tonight. God's presence was thick as many lives were touched by the power of Christ. Then, the youth came in and even got better.
You know I really can't explain what happens in services like tonight. I just feel sorry for people who don't come. It was awesome!

VBS and the Nepal Indian Encounter
Another wonderful VBS tonight! What a great group of kids. We are so blessed to be be able to minister God's Word to them. Again, thanks to all of our great volunteers who have made personal sacrifices to minister this week at VBS. YOu are the greatest!
The offering contest is really heating up at VBS. The last two nights the boys have dominated. As the pastor and an objective bystander, I would like to see the girls when big tomorrow night - just to even things up going into the BIG DAY, SUNDAY. So I'm calling all you folks out who appreciate and love youth ministry and the girls. Come on, lets even it up tomorrow night! Bring your offerings and lets get behind Hillary and the girls.
Well, I'm off to the Nepal Indian encounter tomorrow through Saturday. Please pray for this encounter. These are Indian pastors who are refugees from Nepal India. They represent many congregations from Atlanta, Tennessee, Ohio, Chicago, New York, Utah, Arizona, and no doubt other states. These pastors are coming hungry for a move of God in their lives and in their congregations. KP may have an opportunity to minister to some of the Ohio congregations in our own upcoming fall encounters. Pray that God pour out His Spirit on this great people group. Please, please pray and fast with us over the next few days. Thanks so much!

Farewell to Southern Ohio Tonight and VBS
All right, Tuesay morning is here. Some personal stuff today. Tonight, we COG ministers have a farewell gathering for Southern Ohio's State team: Al and Gail Bristow, State Overseers, and Chris and Charlotte Music, State Youth Directors. I will miss them both. The Bristows are wonderful people who have led our state with impeccable intergrity. Bishop Bristow is very relational. He is a pastor's pastor. He has been there for me when I needed him and always went the extra mile to help. I will miss he and Gail greatly.
I haven't had the opportunity to get know Chris and Charlotte as well. But I have grown to appreciate their ministry. I know that they are very committed to kingdom work. They have done a wonderful job leading our youth ministries in SO as well as in so many other areas. Chris too, is a man of great integrity. Charlotte is as funny as they come and always full of joy. we will miss them as well.
Next week, we will go to Columbus and begin the process of putting a new organizational structure for the COG in the state of Ohio. I am looking forward to seeing what God will do through this new vision for Ohio. I am anxious to be a part of it.
VBS was wonderful last night. I know I saw as many as ten Junior High kids receive Christ as Lord and Savior. I know there were many others in the lower grades as well. What a great job Debbie Jett does leading our Children's Ministries. And God is always so faithful to give us so many people to help who sacrifice a whole week to give their time and energies for the glory of God. Many of these folks work a full day at their jobs and then come directly to the church and work VBS...and it is work! A special thanks as well to Joyce Dayton who is directing this year's VBS. Great job folks!

Sunday Wrap Up
I have been gone for awhile. I wasn't able to post last week at the Assembly and since I got home Friday evening I really haven't had time. Tts a very busy season right now for me - lots of traveling. Hope to be getting back into a routine the middle of August.
Sunday services were great! We probably had out lowest crowd of the summer yesterday but thats okay...the Spirit of God showed up. The illustrated sermon series, I believe went very well. Much time and effort goes into those, but its worth it. I guess I will get back to plain old vanilla preaching next week. Of course, there are some who prefer that every week. But I like a little change from time to time and I am sure there are others that do too.
The VBS kick off went well last night. The Children's Ministry staff does a great job putting together VBS. We had a great crowd and lots of children. Worship, food, games, and lots of fun and fellowship highlighted the evening. Thanks to everyone who helped!
As you know, this week is VBS week. If you aren't working, please support it with your prayers and try to bring a child. It will be a life-impacting week for every child that attends!

Overcoming Hindrances to our Growth

In Ephesians 4:31, Paul lists things we must remove from our lives if we are to grow in the grace of Christ: "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice."
We dare not skip over these issues on Paul's list. The apostle says we absolutely must face these things if we are to grow in grace. If you ignore the heart issues Paul mentions here, you will grieve the Holy Spirit. Your growth will be stunted, and you'll end up a spiritual zombie.
The first three items on Paul's list—bitterness, wrath and anger—are self-explanatory. Bitterness is a refusal to let go of an old wound or forgive a past wrong. Wrath is a stronghold of resentment coupled with a hope to gain revenge. Anger is exasperation—either a quick explosive outburst or a slow burn of indignation toward someone. Evil speaking are words that tear down—it is the opposite of edifying someone or speaking words of edification; evil speaking is malicious, hurtful.
Clamor is a sudden outburst over nothing—an unnecessary hubbub, a loud noise made for no purpose. We cause a clamor when we make a big issue out of something insignificant, or cause a scene rather than trying to help or heal.
The final item on Paul's list is malice. Malice is the desire to see someone else suffer. For many Christians malice means hoping God will punish someone who wounded them. It's a devilish spirit, and it's usually hidden deep within the heart.
When Paul says "Put away all these evils from you," he's not talking about a quick fix. He's describing a process—a matter of growth that takes time. At times, we may fail at ridding ourselves of these evils. But if we will quickly repent, and commit to making things right with the person, over time these issues will fade away.

Stay Awake!
Okay, the day is over. For the first time today, I got a chance to look at my computer and catch up on some e-mails. Adam Johnson and I went to visit baby Warren today. We got a chance to see him and pray with him and his mom and dad, Tonya and Charles. Little Warren is hanging in there. Please continue to lift him up in your prayers. He's not out of the woods yet. We need intercessors to keep interceding.
Also, please remember Brother Clyde Green. He had a stint put in today. He needs our prayers. Clyde is the brother of Lola Barker and Hazel Dye.
Today, I meditated on a portion of scripture from I Thessalonians 5 that says "We are sons of the light and sons of the day; we are not of the night nor of the darkness. Therefore, we do not sleep as others do, but be sober and alert..." I know I may not have quoted it perfect. But this scripture warns to not let the world rock us into a sleepy or apathetic state. Most of do that at night. We get sleepy and doze off. But the Apostle Paul reminds us we are not of the night, but sons of the light and day. During the day, we are awake, alert, and active. Most of us are busy at work or doing something. We don't sit down long enough and even if we do its in a lighted room. Its not conducive to sleeping.
If you read I Thessalonians 5, you know that Paul is warning Christians that Jesus is coming like a thief in the night. Be ready. Be watchful. Be alert. Amen! Amen! Amen!

Sunday Wrap Up
Thanks to everyone at KP for the wonderful Pastor's Appreciation Day. Annette, Gabe, and I are very blessed to be called of God to serve and to minister to you. We look forward to many more years to come as the Lord's coming tarries.
Thanks to everyone today who remembered my 50th birthday. Ken's song was amazing. I don't know who blew up all of those balloons, but may God bless your heart and your lungs too. And special thanks to all of the Debbie Jett, the children, and all the ministry leaders for taking us around the world. That was fun!
I really enjoyed Pastor Tim Minks ministry today. Tim is an anointed preacher of the Gospel. Tim and Sheryl are being used of God to raise up a powerful witness of the gospel there in Terre Haute. Please join with me and remember them in your prayers.
Wow, the KP worship band sounded great this morning. God has put together some talented and anointed musicians at KP but also Gerry, Wes, and Alan have done great job in improving our sound. They are not done yet. We hope to be adding some decorative sound boards which will improve the quality of the sound even more.
Go out and let your light shine for Christ this week. Remember, we are sons and children of the light, not of darkness. If Jesus raptures His church this week, it should take us by surpise. We are watching, expecting, and praying!

Thanks to everyone today who remembered my 50th birthday. Ken's song was amazing. I don't know who blew up all of those balloons, but may God bless your heart and your lungs too. Countdown to Sunday
Numbers 2:31 "So the total of all the troops on Dan's side of the camp is 157,600. These three tribes will be last, marching under their banners whenever the Israelites travel." NLT
"They shall go hindmost with their standards." KJV
The camp of Dan brought up the rear when the armies of Israel were on the march. The Danites occupied the last place. They followed the same fiery cloudy pillar, they ate of the same manna, drank of the same spiritual rock, and journeyed to the same inheritance.
Someone must be last. Someone must do the cleanup. Someone in honour and esteem, must do menial work for Jesus, and why should that not be you and I? Whether its in a poor village, among an ignorant, poor, or diseased; or in a back street, among degraded sinners, God calls us as His followers to work on, and "go hindmost with my standard."[KJV]
The Danites position in the march was a very valuable one. Stragglers had to be picked up upon the march, and lost property has to be gathered from the field. Fiery, zealous soldiers may preach fresh and powerful truth and win more souls to Christ; but the quiet and the more conservative believers remind the church of her ancient faith, and restoring the weak and the backslidden. Every position in the army has its effective and important duties, and the slowly moving ones are a great blessing to the whole.
The rear guard is a place of danger. There are enemies behind us as well as before us. Attacks may come from any place. We read that Amalek fell upon Israel, and slew some of the back (hindmost)of the march. The experienced Christian will find much work for his weapons in aiding those poor doubting, desponding, wavering, souls, who are lacking in faith, knowledge, and joy. These must not be neglected, and therefore be it the business of veteran believers to bear their standards among those in the "hindmost."
"My soul, do thou tenderly watch to help the hindmost this day."

Helping Pastors
I got back today from our Pastoral Covenant Group Facilitators training retreat. There are over one thousand Church of God all over the country that are members of a pastoral covenant group. PCGs are probably the greatest thing the Church of God has done in years. Eight years ago before pastoral covenant groups were started, statistics showed that Church of God pastors were in trouble. The majority of pastors were stressed, and very negative toward the denomination and ministry in general. Pastors admitted to be stuggling in many areas of their personal lives. Many of our pastors at that time were leaving their churches for jobs outside of the ministry. Overall, the picture did not look good.
Recently, pastors were polled in those same areas and the results were much more positive. The difference, many of the pastors reported that being involved in a pastoral covenant group where they could be involved in open and transparent relationships with other pastors was changing the lives of pastors. Pastors are reporting to be much healthier in body and in spirit as well.
I will be starting my third different pastoral covenant group this fall. I believe that my investment in pastors is well worth my time and plays a great part in building the kingdom of God. I will be targeting Church of God pastors in our area that are not presently in pcgs. Please pray for me and other pastors. I am not ashamed to ask you to do that. I need your prayers and covet them everyday. Even the Apostle Paul said in I Thessalonians 5:25, "Brethern, pray for us."

Praying in Tongues (or in the Spirit)
Good morning everyone! Its going to be a hot week. I hope everyone stays cool. Sunday morning I preached a message that God's Spirit especially gave me for "such a time as this." The message that is now posted on our sermons page was "The Power of Speaking in Tongues." In the message, I simply talk about the importance of praying in tongues (or in the Spirit), especially in these trying days for believers. Why is tongues so important? The bible says speaking in tongues edifies (builds up) the believer before God. He speaks to God and his soul or spirit man is edified or built up.
This is not happening for the most part in Christianity in America for two reasons. First of all, most Christians in our churches today have never heard good, consistent, biblical teaching regarding the subject of tongues. Many of America's churches don't believe in the practice of tongues and so their pastors never teach or preach on the subject. Many of our spiritual leaders have bought into the false teaching that it was for those times (New Testament days) and not for modern times. Thats too bad, because the church body suffers for our ignorance of God's Word. Secondly, many churches (Pentecostal and Charasmatic churches) do believe it and some preach and teach on it, but unfortunately some believers have a poor prayer life and are too busy to pray in English or in the spirit. So they also suffer because they do not pray in tongues.
The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 14, that 'I pray in tongues more than you all'or basically more than everyone in the Corinthian church put together. Paul was not proud or was he bragging but just stating a fact. He found it necessary for him as a individual believer to pray daily in tongues. If Paul did, how much more should we?

Sunday Wrap Up
okay...wonderful service this morning. God really ministered to his people around the altars before the message and afterwards as well. Tonight's communion service was a beautiful time of worship. Thanks so much for signing up for VBS to help us and also giving in the offering. Joyce Dayton informed me tonight that we had enough people sign up today to cover everything. But I am sure if you want to help, we can find a place for you.

Countdown to Sunday
Hey, its Friday night and its been a great day. I took a day away from the church. Went this morning and got a haircut and took Gabe's car to be worked on. Then, I went and picked it up in the afternoon. The auto shop replaced a a driver's side window motor and clips. The cost $3,248.00. Wow! The actual cost was 324.00 which was high enough. But the man made a mistake and charged me the greater amount. Anyway, I think we got it taken corrected.
Later, I went and got a work-out in. Gabe and I went out and hit some golf balls at a driving range. I hadn't hit a golf ball in 3 or 4 months (boy, was it humid!). Then came home and fixed some meat on the grill for Annette and I. Now, I'm doing some prep work for ministry this weekend.
I hope you are anxious to get to God's house this weekend. I know I am. I got to go to church while we were on vacation and have to be honest when I say that our worship time on Sundays was a highlight of our vacation. I know some people don't go to church on vacation. But I think its good to go to another church and just go in and totally close everything out (all those thoughts that your new and everyone is looking at you, etc) and just totally focus on worshipping Christ. Matter of fact, I think thats what we also have to do when we worship in our own church. Determine not to be distracted by anything or anyone. Give your complete attention to worshipping Christ. Get in His presence!

What Are You Feeding Your Faith?
I thought this was a great devotional by Spurgeon. I love the truth "The strength of your faith lies in the food it feeds on." Wow! How true! Please read and receive.

Judges 16:6
Where lies the secret strength of faith? It lies in the food it feeds on; for faith studies what the promise is--an emanation of divine grace, an overflowing of the great heart of God; and faith says, "My God could not have given this promise, except from love and grace; therefore it is quite certain His Word will be fulfilled." Then faith thinketh, "Who gave this promise?" It considereth not so much its greatness, as, "Who is the author of it?" She remembers that it is God who cannot lie--God omnipotent, God immutable; and therefore concludeth that the promise must be fulfilled; and forward she advances in this firm conviction. She remembereth, why the promise was given,-- namely, for God's glory, and she feels perfectly sure that God's glory is safe, that He will never stain His own escutcheon, nor mar the lustre of His own crown; and therefore the promise must and will stand. Then faith also considereth the amazing work of Christ as being a clear proof of the Father's intention to fulfil His word. "He that spared not His own Son, but freely delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" Are You Grieving for America?
I spent yesterday, July 5th, with Annette getting a little rest and doing a lot of reading. To be honest, my reading led to a day of grieving in my spirit for America. It began by reading about the gay parade in the paper that morning. As you might have heard, there were many other cities across America that held gay parades this weekend. With everything else we are facing as a nation, the very last thing we need is to parade before God and the world our pride in our wickedness and rebellion. God help us!
The books I read was John Hagee's "Can America Survive?" and Perry Stone "Nightmare Along Pennsylvania Avenue." Both of these books paint a grave picture of America's present and future if we don't repent. I know much of the rapture believing American church has been taught to believe that the rapture will occur before the Great Tribulation period begins...and I still believe that. But it does not mean we won't have to go through tribulations up until that time. Acts 14:21,22 reads "They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch,strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. 'We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,' they said."
We may think what we are going through hardships now but our nation's rebellion and wickedness along with the American church's lukewarmness and passivity will ensure more and even greater hardships before the rapture takes place. As believers, this is a time for prayer and fasting. I encourage you to WAKE UP. Set aside a time to pray and fast and seek God's face. We have very little time left. His Spirit will lead us and prepare us from there.

A Sad, Sad Day in Cincinnati
Rom 1:18-32 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn't worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip. 30 They are backstabbers, haters of God, insolent, proud, and boastful. Equinox Cincinnati gay pride parade's move Downtown draws positive reviews

There were floats and scooters, skateboards and balloons - and drag queens.
Sunday's Equinox Cincinnati Pride 2010 parade ended at Fountain Square, the Queen City's symbolic meeting place, in a move several observers believe signaled a greater acceptance for the gay community.
Before this year, the parade was held in Northside, a Cincinnati neighborhood with a significant gay population.
"I think this was a larger turnout," said Danny Coscia, 45, of Richmond, Ky., who lived in this area for years and is a longtime parade attendee.
He applauded the parade move Downtown to accommodate the larger crowd - and for the message it sends.
"Things change. Back then, it was a dirty little secret they hid in Northside," Coscia said of the gay pride parade.
Adam Theele, 31, of Hamilton also has been to several parades and prefers the Downtown event.
"In Northside, it was like we were hiding," Theele said. "I always wondered why they had it in Northside. All the other (community) events are Downtown."
Under a blazing sun, an estimated 3,000 people lined the six blocks of Fifth Street from Sentinel to Race Street. They came to celebrate freedom and independence, for their country and their lifestyle.
"This was something fun to do to support the cause," said Marcia Yager, 54, of Sycamore Township. "We're such a conservative town, we need to do something to come together."
Katie Ambrogi, 31, of Blue Ash watched the 40-minute parade with her husband and three children.
"We just like equality for everybody. Let the kids see that there are differences. People are the same," Ambrogi said.
How did the kids respond to seeing men in huge hair, high heels and flamboyant dresses or the shirtless elves on a Christmas float in 90-degree temperature with an elf singing "Walking in a Winter Wonderland"?
"They're beautiful people and kids should see that," Ambrogi said with a smile.
The crowd made a lot of noise, blowing whistles, clapping and cheering for their favorite float or participant.
Lesbian Moms and Allies drew a particularly loud cheer when they zoomed by with kids in tow - in strollers, on bikes, scooters and skateboards.
The parade was kicked off by the first participant, Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory, and included several other politicians.
"It needed more music, crowd, fuss - lively," said Rob Thompson, 49. "There were great drag queens and pretty good floats."

Sunday Wrap Up
Awesome service today! I think most of us including myself was surprised at the words of the "Battle Hymn of the Republic." What an awesome, anointed and powerful song. Just studying and then reading the words really blessed me. Its sad that most people, especially our younger generation doesn't know of the great Christian heritage we have in America. We've let our school system, media, and government cover it up preventing an entire generation or two from really understanding how America's foundation was built on biblical values.
What did you do today? Annette, Gabe, and I changed into casual clothes after church and went out to eat. Anyway, we came home and I took my Sunday power nap. I love power naps. I try to get at least one a day. Then Annette and I went on about a three mile walk...now I'm ready for power nap #2.

An Encounter Success Story!
I missed yesterday. I had a pretty busy day at the Indiana Camp Meeting. Pastor Tim Oldfield from Potter's House is preaching the night services and Dr. Oliver McMahan, from the Church of God Seminary is doing the morning bible study. The services have been wonderful. Both Pastor Oldfield and Dr. McMahan are anointed and being used of greatly of the Lord. If you would like to hear and see for yourself, go to the Indiana Church of God website.
Of course, I seen and talked with a lot of people at the Indiana camp meeting. One pastor that really blessed me pastors the Warsaw Church of God. His name is Fred. Fred came to our Men's Encounter a few years ago with the Southlake church. At the encounter, God got a hold of Fred. He turned his life upside down. So much so that Fred quit his job, packed up, and moved he and hiswife and six children to Florida to do ministry. Well as the story was told to me, things didn't work out so good so he came back to Indiana where he went through MIP (Ministerial Internship Program) and graduated ready to pastor a church. The state office in Indiana sent Fred to Warsaw. Wow! I have grown up in Indiana and as far as I can remember the Warsaw church has had an attendance of about eight people. My father used to be the District Overseer there and did everything he could to help the pastor who will remain nameless. The pastor was a great Christian man, but legalistic. So he retired and stayed in the church and here comes Fred and his family. Now Fred is as different from this pastor as night is to day. Fred told me that he is writing a book on just the first service alone. I guess it was a circus. Anyway, Fred and his family are still there. Everyone that was there at the beginning including the pastor chose to leave. But Fred is reaching the community and has 65 to 70 people in attendance on Sunday morning. Wow!
I could probably take a whole month or more and tell you more encounter success stories. They are everywhere! In early August, I will go to Chattanooga to help conduct an encounter for the Nepal Indians. In the nineties, the U.N and the U.S. government imported nearly 60,000 refugees from Nepal. They now have populations spread throughout the eastern and southern parts of the U.S. with a big population in the Atlanta area.
The plan is that nearly two hundred NePal pastors will attend this encounter. They will learn about the power of deliverance, the Holy Spirit, and the vision to to make disciples at this encounter. They will then go back to their churches and do encounters. From what I have been told, there are Nepal Indians congregations right here in Cincinnati. Praise the Lord...here we go again!
Please help us pray for this encounter. It will take place August 6 and 7. God is doing great things on the earth today! This isn't time for the church to set back and play it safe. But to enter in and reach out into waters never ventured before. Kings Point too will be doing this in the days ahead!

Obama Warns World Leaders ‘Millions Could Die’ From Gulf Oil Disaster
Believe me, I hate posting articles like the following. I know you are not reading this in our local papers. Its pathetic We must get this news from Pakistan. It blows my mind to think that we could be looking at these kinds of consequences from the bp spill. I hope not. I pray not. But when you read God's Word (you know that old fashioned book that most Americans don't pay attention too), these kinds of things arejust the beginning. I encourage you to read Revelation. The Bible says those who do are blessed. God wants to bless you and I with His truth. Its the only way people are set free.
I encourage you to not be afraid when you hear or see these things, but turn to Christ. Again, as I wrote yesterday, we must BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS KNOWING THAT GOD IS WITH US AND HE WILL NEVER FORSAKE HIS PEOPLE.

A sobering report circulating in the Kremlin today from President Medvedev’s meeting with other World leaders at the G8 summit in Muskoka, Ontario states that President Obama has warned his counterparts that the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster “will most likely kill millions, perhaps tens of millions” of people during the coming year.
Fueling Obama’s dire assessment of this “Gulf Apocalypse”, this report says, are the oil and toxic rains now being reported to be falling throughout the US Gulf Coast region due to the fracturing of the Gulf of Mexico seafloor allowing untold millions of gallons of oil and millions of cubic feet of methane gas to escape unchecked into our World’s seventh largest body of water, not to mention the millions of gallons of dangerous disbursements being used that is poisoning everything in its path.
So dangerous has the Gulf Coast environment become to human beings the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a warning that, in part, says:
“People, including pregnant women, can be exposed to these chemicals by breathing them (air), by swallowing them (water, food), or by touching them (skin). If possible, everyone, including pregnant women, should avoid the oil and spill-affected areas.”
With nearly 20 million American’s living along the affected Gulf Coast region one wonders where they could all go and leaving many to speculate a massive evacuation is being planned by the US Government of the entire region.
This view, however, is not shared by a Louisiana woman named Kindra Arnesen who was allowed unprecedented access to the BP Operations Center overseeing this catastrophe and reported to the Gulf Emergency Summit this past week that along with millions of fish dying because of this disaster people are falling ill all over the region.
Even worse is Arnesen’s incredibly reporting that even as this oil disaster grows BP is being allowed the US government to begin cutting costs in their cleanup and oil containment efforts.
Important to note about in this report is that Obama’s warning that “millions could die” from this disaster has been further confirmed by the American engineer who helped lead the team to put out the Persian Gulf oil fires set by Saddam Hussein in the first Iraq war and had warned a full 12 months before the April sinking of the Deepwater Horizon that BP was drilling into a huge methane deposit that if released would be beyond catastrophic, it would be biblical in its scale of destruction.
Note: Along with the unprecedented danger facing the Americans due to this oil spill catastrophe it is important to remember the billions of dollars being made from it by some of the most powerful people and corporations in the West, and as we had reported on in our June 16th report titled “Obama To Earn Nearly $85 Million From Gulf Oil Disaster”.
Interesting to note too is that one of the World’s top oil and gas industry experts Matthew Simmons is calling for the evacuation of the entire US Gulf Coast, and as we can read as quoted by him in an interview with the Washington Post News Service:
“We’re going to have to evacuate the Gulf States. Can you imagine evacuating 20 million people? . . . This story is 80 times worse than I thought.”
Now the “80 times worse than I thought” comment by Simmons is one of the most vitally important points to understand in this unfolding historic disaster due to the findings of the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) high-tech research ship Thomas Jefferson, and as we can read as reported by the Los Angeles Times News Service:
“The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration on Monday released new data from the agency’s latest research trip through the Gulf of Mexico, showing concentrations of oil below the surface at more than 3,600 feet below the surface, about 7.5 nautical miles southwest of the BP’s blown-out well.
The Thomas Jefferson research ship found evidence of depleted oxygen, a potential sign of microbes digesting oil, in the area. Acoustic and fluorometric instruments likewise indicated the presence of oil. Water samples taken on the trip have not been analyzed.
Since the leak began April 20, attention has been focused on surface oil washing up on environmentally fragile shoreline ecosystems. But “plumes” or “clouds” of oil hovering in the water column below the surface, where myriad marine life eat, breed and swim, has as much or more potential to cause ecological damage to the Gulf, scientists have warned.”
Not being explained to the American people about NOAA’s findings is that the live video feed of this spill being shown to them of this spill contains oil and methane gas being expelled at pressures estimated to be at 100,000 pounds per square inch (psi) and cannot in any way being associated with the massive underwater oil plumes found by the Thomas Jefferson nearly 8 kilometers away.
To where these massive underwater oil plumes are coming from, Simmons stated during an interview on the US television network MSNBC that the release point was “5 to 6 miles away” from where the Deepwater Horizon sunk.
In our June 10th report “Scientists Warn Gulf Of Mexico Sea Floor Fractured “Beyond Repair” we reported that Russian scientists (the only scientists to have actually viewed this disaster in their deep submersible submarines) had likewise confirmed Simmons dire assessment of this catastrophe; reports, mind you, that not only have we seen, but Simmons has undoubtedly seen too.
Most incredibly in all of these events is that Obama has issued what many experts are calling a “get out of jail free card” to BP in the setting up of a $20 Billion “sham” cleanup fund paid for by this British oil giant that allowed them to borrow from Goldman Sachs the entire amount and not affecting their bottom line for years, if not decades to come.
To the greatest consequence of this catastrophe upon the American people, an FSB appendix to this report warns that the US Soldiers currently deployed throughout their island territory of Puerto Rico are in fact being trained in how to “suppress and contain” large concentrations of people and being “recycled” to military bases throughout the State of Florida where they will soon be joined by an estimated 28,000 NATO allied troops where both will join up with an estimated 7,000 pre-positioned UN marked vehicles for purposes “still not known or clearly stated by the US”.
To the greatest danger facing the American people it comes from the founder of the psychoanalytic school of psychiatry Sigmund Freud’s nephew Edward Bernays, the father of the field of “public relations” and propaganda, who said that news was made “when reality is distilled down to the most simplified and dramatized form and it appeals to the instincts of the public mind.”
Unfortunately, the “instincts” being instilled in these Americans “public mind” is going to kill them as there is NOTHING to be simplified about this catastrophe, and what they aren’t being told by their so called mainstream media, or what they aren’t willing to find out for themselves, is going to kill them. Just like all of those who cleaned up the1989 Exxon Valdez spill disaster, ALMOST ALL OF WHOM ARE NOW DEAD.
